Matha – Sishu Samrakshana Project

Our Organisation has implemented the Mata Shishu Samrakshak Project with the co-Operation of District Medical and Health Department Kurnool consisting of co-coordinator 2 nos., 2 nos. ANMs, 2 nos. Mata Shishusamrakshak Van Drivers and One attainder. Where is there is an emergency for pregnant women, infant person suffering from diarrhea, vomiting and accidents. We have saved several men and women and infants from severe conditions through these projects.

Andhra Pradesh Community Based tank Management Project(APCBTMP)

At Present, We are implementing the Andhra Pradesh Community Based Tank Management Project (APCBTMP) in Midtur, Kothapalli, Velugodu and Athmakur Mandals, Kurnool District. Basically this Project deals with the improvement of Physical Structure. We are working for the improvement of physical condition and operational performance of selected tank system through a range of interventions in the selected villages of those above two mandals. We are motivating the farming community for strengthening of Tank Based by removing bushes, shrubs, jungle etc., clearing of feeder channels by remaining jungle, silt, repairs to tank sluices, surplus weirs, canals and distribution system. We are educating the water user associations to contribute 10% of the project cost i.e, 5% cash and 5% kind. The water users are mobilized on improvement of on farm water management and water use efficiency.

Further, we are creating awareness among the water users to improve the production and productivity crops and to increase the livelihood activities which include agriculture, live stock, horticulture and fisheries.

Also we are disseminating the knowledge not only among project stakeholders but to a wider development community.

Ground Water Awareness Programme

Augmentation of ground water becomes necessary, when a given area are basin, the annual extraction of ground water is exceeding than the ground water recharge. As water level decline below the aquifer, recharge of the deep aquifers becomes necessary. Deep aquifers can be recharged by surface techniques as well as surface techniques. Surface techniques include technologies to conserved run- off like gully plugs, contour bunds, stone terraces, checkdams. Sub- Surface techniques include sub-surface dykes & recharge tube wells and amount involved Rs. 0.20 Lakhs.

We are also creating awareness among the farmers on the need of the Ground Water recharge in the villages of our area of operation. It is impossible for the district to meet the water requirements of the growing needs of the people. The people themselves must play a most active role. For this, there is a need for social mobilization and community empowerment, so that communities have rights over the resources that they regenerate and manage.

Mobile Medical Unit (M.M.U)

The Mobile Health Unit ( Sanchara Vidya Shala) is being run in Pathikonda Block consist of Pathikonda, Tuggali, Maddikera and Devanakonda Mandals with Herculean efforts though the unit faces so many difficulties with motto “Health is Wealth”. The unit has two MBBS Doctors, Two GNMS, One Lab Assistant, Contingently worker and Large Mobile Van to look after the health of tribal area and supplies the medicines along educate Women and health Family Planning, Child Mortality, Nutrition and Diet Values to the tribal area people supplied by State Government from the funds of the Central Government ( National Rural Health Mission ) though the unit is facing much more difficulties at gross root level villages with will power the unit serving the grass root level to keep them in healthy way.
